Perfection in a bottle
I am in love with this product. I tried so many things from the drug store and also a line of facial cleanser from Mary Kay. My skin was endlessly dry with the pores being clogged at the same time. I needed an exfoliator that didn't just scrape my skin. I did so much research and found this product through Sephora. I was nervous at first since it was more expensive than my past products but it.is.worth.it.all. I bought my first bottle in the middle of May and I still have some and I wash my face at least once a day. Nothing feels greater after coming home from a long day at school feeling gross and being able to just wash my face. I don't want to try anything else! Thanks, Murad. You've stolen my heart.

Amazing!
After receiving a facial from my local Massage Envy, the esthetician suggested using this cleanser along with the other cleanser from this line. My skin has completely changed!! I have suffered from blackheads and deep pores for a long time, and this in conjunction with the other cleanser and my Clarasonic has been a game CHANGER!

Ingredient Spotlight

Glycolic Acid

Sugar cane is the surprising source of the Glycolic Acid used in Dr. Murad’s formulas. Glycolic is a member of a class of naturally occurring substances called Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) that have been used to refresh complexions since Cleopatra took her first milk bath. AHA’s exfoliate by loosening the bonds that bind dulling dead cells to skin’s surface. Dr. Murad discovered that Glycolic acid is uniquely well suited to skincare because it gently and evenly exfoliates to smooth skin while stimulating natural renewal of the surface. Dr. Murad also discovered that adding Glycolic Acid to many of his formulas makes it easier for other key skincare ingredients to penetrate deep into the skin’s surface layers.

Other Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Jojoba Esters, Acrylates Copolymer, Glycol Stearate, Butylene Glycol, Sodium PCA, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Polyquaternium-4, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben

Q: Hi! Would you recommend this product for acne prone skin? Will it work on acne scars?

A: You can indeed use the AHA BHA Exfoliating Cleanser 2 or 3 times per week to help with exfoliation. Acne scars usually are classified in two forms: topical and dermal. Topical scars appear as a discoloration, usually as a red or brown mark after the blemish has healed. We recommend the Post Acne Spot Lightening Gel, a treatment product containing glycolic acid for exfoliation and hydroquinone for fading, to reduce the discoloration and even the skin tone. This product should be applied every evening, and a sunblock must be worn in the daytime. (Try the Age Proof Oil-Free Sunblock SPF30) This is a great daily treatment. Dermal scars are physical scars such as ice pick scars, indentations, and holes left in the skin. These types of scars need to be treated professionally by a dermatologist. Sometimes these types of scars are so deep in the layers of the skin that they cannot be removed. Luckily there are a number of new procedures now available that compliment or surpass previous scar revision techniques. Working with a dermatologist in this situation will help maximize improvement. Laser treatments, punch excision, microdermabrasion and dermabrasion may help improve the overall appearance.
