5 Strength-Training Exercises for Hydrated Skin

Strength training

Not only does exercise release stress and make you feel your best inside and out, it also helps keep your body hydrated. Muscle holds more water than fat, so building muscle through strength-training exercises is a great way to keep you and your skin hydrated from within.

Muscles contain 75% water, whereas fat only contains 10%. That means that those who engage in some sort of exercise and build muscle are more hydrated on a cellular level— and their skin is more youthful and glowing. So whether you’re stretching it out on the mat or off on a run, working up a sweat to build stronger muscles is vital for a younger-looking you.
One of our favorite ways to get active and work towards building stronger muscles is through strength-training. This sequence has five exercises that you can do anywhere. Whether at the gym or on your bedroom floor, doing these exercises will help you build stronger muscles that hold optimal hydration and keep you looking your best.
