4 Skincare Must-Haves For Your Gym Bag

Today we’re talking about gym bag essentials, because skincare on the go is just as important as your home skincare regimen.

We’ve got 4 must-have skincare products for active women to keep in their gym bags—nothing too complicated or bulky to carry around. And this is a quick and easy routine that will keep your skin healthy and glowing post workout.

Boost your post-gym glow with these 4 Murad gym bag essentials:

  1. Clarifying Wipes. Right after your work out, start with Murad Clarifying Wipes. These pre-moistened wipes help keep skin clear by removing dirt, bacteria and pore-clogging oil. They’ll also help reduce shine and regulate excess sebum production while tightening pores and balancing and toning skin.
  2. AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser. Next, wash your face with Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser. This intensive cleanser polishes away dullness and impurities with 3 exfoliating agents: Salicylic Acid, Lactic Acid and Glycolic Acid. Jojoba Beads further polish and smooth skin, helping rid your face of all the toxins you just sweat out.
  3. Hydrating Toner. Next, add a spritz of Murad Hydrating Toner. This alcohol-free toner replenishes lost moisture to refresh and rehydrate your skin after all that sweating. It provides a lightweight mist that restores skin’s natural pH balance and neutralizes surface impurities.
  4. Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 | PA++. Here’s your final step. One of the best things about this moisturizer is that it helps reduce shine, creating a clean, matte surface. Plus, it controls oil for up to 8 hours, according to a Murad sponsored study, and protects your skin with SPF.

Hi! I was curious about how many times I should wash my face if I workout mid-day. I know it’s bad to overwash but if I have a really sweaty workout I don’t want to leave my face dirty. I typically use the anti-aging acne cleanser and moisturizer that goes with it with spf in the morning and anti-aging acne cleanser and environmental shield moisturizer at night…If I do this routine mid-day is that too much washing? Thanks!

Hi Hannah! You’re on the right track; the face definitely should be washed after a workout to remove irritating perspiration, but a taking gentle approach is key for maintaining a beautiful complexion. For a post-workout refresher, we highly recommend our Time Release Cleanser, which is mild enough to use more than twice a day. Just be sure to follow it with your favorite moisturizer to keep your skin nice and hydrated!
