Recipe
Makes 6 servings of hummus.
    Ingredients:
  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 2 (25-ounce) cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/3 cup tahini paste
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

    Topping:
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (parsley, cilantro—one of your favorites)
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

    Directions:
  • Combine all ingredients in a food processor.
  • Pulse until smooth.
  • Place in serving bowl. Serve with cucumbers, bell peppers, or your other favorite vegetables.
