Tea Tree Oil

Not to be confused with the black and green teas brewed from the leaves of the camellia plant, Tea Tree Oil is derived from the leaves of the tea tree, a plant native to the coast of southeast Australia. The tree was named by eighteenth century British sailors who made a tea from its leaves. The leaves of the tea tree have proven to be a very versatile. In addition to quenching the thirst of homesick sailors, oil extracted from tea tree leaves is reputed to have antiseptic properties. This fragrant oil has been used traditionally to treat wounds, insect bites and a range of bacterial and fungal infections. Dr. Murad discovered that adding Tea Tree Oil to his skincare formulas enhanced their power to sooth and purify.

Post-Acne Spot Lightening Gel 4.4 5 288 294
Amazing! I have not been dissatisfied with any of the Murad products that I have used, and this one is definitely not an exception!! I have had acne for most of my life and when the break-outs stopped, I was left with redness and blotches...I have only been using this product for a couple of weeks and the improvement is amazing! I am so pleased with what this has done so far that I can't wait to see what it looks like after 6 weeks and beyond! March 3, 2010
Best in Class! I love this product!! Not only does it diminsh old acne scars and eliminate future scarring, but it heals existing blemishes faster than just using the exfoliating gel. I put this on each evening before bed and I am amazed at how good my skin looks. Some days, I even forget that I have acne!! March 3, 2010
Amazing! This product is amazing! I've been using it for a year now and one bottle lasted me 8 months out of the year before I had to replace it. I have combo skin and it helped keep my breakouts away. My skin also scars when I get a breakout and this insures that it doesn't scar and if it does it's 10 times better than it would normally be. I actually ran out about a month ago and from then until now I can see what a difference not having it is making. I will for sure going to the store this week and be purchasing more!!! Love it and recommend it! October 1, 2014
Love Love Love I love Murad! I used this product for 3 months.and definitely noticed some results! It made my skin brighter, more even and I still have 3/4 of the bottle left. Can't wait to continue using this product. September 18, 2014

Can I use this product to lighten dark cirlces under my eyes?

I naturally have dark circles under my eyes. I know that Hydroquinone is used to lighten skin, so I was wondering if this would work for dark circles as well. I do not have sensitive skin if that matters. Thank you.

Answer:
You do not want to apply any product any closer to the eye than the orbital bone as your body heat will cause the product to spread on the surface of your skin. Hydroquinone is a lightening agent that may indeed help with your dark circles.

The Post Acne Spot Lightening Gel will help lighten the pigmentation that concerns you. The most important thing to keep in mind is that the sun causes pigmentation to darken so it is very important to use sunscreen, especially when you are using a product containing hydroquinone.

Great question! Use the Anti Aging Acne Regimen as normal in the morning. In the evening use the Post Acne Spot Lightening Serum in place of the Acne and Wrinkle Reducer. The Post Acne Spot Lightening Gel will help lighten the pigmentation that concerns you. The most important thing to keep in mind is that the sun causes pigmentation to darken so it is very important to use sunscreen, especially when you are using a product containing hydroquinone. The minimum SPF recommended is SPF 15.
