Pamela de Ryss—Vice President, National Accounts
As Vice President of Sales for National Accounts, Pamela is responsible for the
development of short and long term strategic plans and objectives to maximize
profitable growth within the National Accounts channel.
Pamela began her career at Murad in 2002 as a Regional Sales Director, for National
Accounts and Spas and was promoted to her present position in 2005.
Pamela has spent her entire professional life working in the beauty industry. Her
first positions were in the cosmetic business at retail with regional prestige
department stores Bullocks and I Magnin. She moved into sales management
positions at fragrance, color and skincare brands including Halston Fragrances,
Christian Dior Perfumes, and P&G Prestige Fragrances were she held the title of
National Retail Sales Manager before moving to Murad in 2002.
Pamela received her BA in English from the University of Washington.
Carey Grange—Executive Vice President, Direct to Consumer
As Executive Vice President of Direct to Consumer, Carey spearheads all channels of
our Direct to Consumer distribution, including Infomercial, Web, Catalog and Direct
Mail, with a focus on an integrated, brand-building, cross-channel marketing strategy.
Carey joined Murad in 2002 and has over 12 years of experience in the direct
response arena and personal care category. Prior to Murad, she began her career
working for industry powerhouse Guthy-Renker, where she learned the direct
response business from the ground up, eventually managing such worldwide brands
as Proactiv Solution and Principal Secret.
Carey holds a BA in English Literature from Pepperdine University and has taken
leadership courses at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. She is a member
of the Direct Marketing Association and the Broadcast Council and is an active guest
speaker at various trade events within the direct response industry.
Lori Jacobus—Vice President, Global Marketing
As Vice President of Global Marketing, Lori is responsible for leading the effort to
drive brand growth and equity through strategic global marketing initiatives as well
as by identifying new market opportunities, driving product development, increasing
brand profitability and developing an overall growth strategy for the company.
Lori spent her career in advertising, beginning in the media department at Sachs,
Finley & Company and concluding her term there in marketing as a senior account
executive. She joined ICEbox Advertising and concluded her term there as
Executive Vice President. At ICEbox she was responsible for global viability of the
agency and developing top level advertising strategies across a broad range of
clients and categories, utilizing branded, direct response and hybrid media,
nationally, locally and regionally for television, out-of-home, magazine, newspaper,
radio and internet.
Lori's wide range of accomplishments includes Cosmetic brands: Murad, StriVectin,
Yes To Carrots and Aussie Nads; Health and Beauty brands: Relacore, Leptoprin
and Zantrex-3; and Toy brands Bandai, Playmates, Ertl and MGA Entertainment.
A native of Santa Monica, California, Jacobus studied marketing at UCLA.
Carol Jensen—Executive Vice President, Finance
As Executive Vice President of Finance, Carol is responsible for providing vision and
guidance to the Finance and Accounting Departments, the Information Technology
group, and the Sales Administration Group.
Carol joined Murad in 1997 as the Accounting Manager and has more than 25 years
experience in Finance. She has worked in various industries including investment
banking, retail, wholesale, manufacturing and franchises.
Before coming to Murad, Carol held the position of Controller for an electronics
manufacturer where she was responsible for upgrading the software and systems
and securing financing for a major corporate expansion. Carol also filled the position
of Controller for a lighting manufacturer and was a key player in taking the company
public.
Carol studied Business and Finance at Cal State Northridge and is also active in the
local community as a domestic violence advocate.
David Pannor—Vice President, Operations
As Vice President of Operations, David oversees manufacturing, warehousing,
distribution, procurement, quality, engineering and project management. David
joined Murad in 2003 as Director of Operations after consulting for the company in
2002. He was promoted to Vice President in 2007.
David’s 22 years of experience in consumer goods operations management focused
on manufacturing and distribution but also included call center, IT and telecom
operations. His prior positions include Operations Director for Lip Ink International
and General Manager of Abco Laboratories.
In 1989 David helped found Procaps Laboratories, a leading dietary supplement
manufacturing and marketing company. His 10 years of manufacturing operations
experience there brings special expertise to Murad’s internal skincare segment.
David’s early experience includes 8 years of extensive retail sales and management
skills. In addition he holds certificates in standard operating procedures and GMPs for
pharmaceuticals, business process improvement and industrial engineering.
Jean Runel—Vice President, International Sales
As Vice President of International Sales, Jean spearheads Murad’s growth and
strategy for all of Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America,
Jean has spent his entire career in international sales beginning at L'Oreal in Paris,
Brazil and Italy. He was then chosen by Sebastian, International, Inc., a subsidiary of
Wella AG, as the company’s Senior Vice President of International Sales. From
there, he went on to Dermanew, Inc., where he was named President of
International, from 2002 until joining Murad in 2007.
Jean is a native of France, where he received his undergraduate degree from
Dauphine University in Paris, France. He then went on to receive a Masters Degree
in International Relations from the Wharton School of Business at the University of
Pennsylvania.
Tracey Sameyah—Global General Manager, Murad Professional
As Global General Manager of Murad Professional, Tracey manages the strategy,
messaging and tactical growth for the Murad Professional Division domestically
and internationally.
Tracey’s relationship with Murad began in 1992 with management of Dr. Murad’s first
spa venture, A Sense of Self. After helping the venture to grow into one of the most
successful day-spas in the country, Tracey helped the venture to evolve into the
award-winning Murad Medical Spa, where Tracey assumed positions as Spa Director
and Vice President, Murad Professional.
Most recently, Tracey has overseen the concept development and launch of the
Murad Inclusive Health Center® and Spa.
