Green Tea

Because Green Tea consumption has been linked to better health and enhanced longevity, scientists have been searching for the source of Green Tea’s seemingly magical effects. Current thinking is that the antioxidant polyphenols present in Green Tea act as free-radical scavengers that protect cells against environmental damage and help prevent premature aging. Another class of compounds, xanthines, has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties which may help reduce the severity of a wide range of diseases and conditions. By adding Green Tea extract to skincare formulas, Dr. Murad has discovered that he has been able to enhance their power to calm and soothe red, inflamed and irritated skin.

Clarifying Cleanser 4.8 5 1210 1257
Best Skin Care I ever used! I have been struggling with adult acne for years. I have tried every product under the sun. Proactiv worked for a little while but it eventually stopped working AND my skin looked dull, old and dried out. Since using Murad I have almost completely stopped breaking out! I haven't even been getting "period pimples"! My skin looks younger, more vibrant and healtier than it has in years! And the products last me forever. I HIGHLY recommend this. I know everyone is always skeptical about these reviews, I know I always am, but I am a real person and I got very real, and wonderful, results. I also have a guy friend, a little younger than me, who had equally great results. July 10, 2007
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! a little backstory on my skin (I'll try not to make this a novel, but I REALLY love this cleanser): I have combination/oily skin, and have had problems with acne since I was a teen. I normally don't have horrible skin, but I get regular and hormonal breakouts every now and then, and some painful cystic acne . I also wear full coverage makeup every day, which tends to also add to the clogging up of my pores. About 8 months ago my doctor recommended a benzoyl peroxide cleanser to help get rid of my breakouts, so I tried a drugstore brand benzoyl peroxide cleanser. The first week of using it went fine, but after about a week I started getting even more breakouts than I'd ever had in my life. My skin was even more oily and irritated than ever. Yes, my skin felt REALLY clean right after I used it, but it was that super tight kind of clean. I kept using it for about a month, since they say you need to be using a skincare product for at least 4 weeks before you know if it works. by the end of four weeks my skin was FREAKING OUT, so I realized it wasn't going to get any better and stopped using the benzoyl peroxide. I tried a few professional brands that were "gentler". They didn't make my skin any worse, but they didn't seem to help a lot either. None of them really got my skin completely clean, which is important since I wear so much foundation (I'm not a big fan of using oily makeup remover first and cleansing after, so I usually just use cleanser to remove my makeup). So (getting to the point of why this stuff is so amazing) one day I came across a trial size of the clarifying cleanser and decided to try it out. Let me just say that I knew this cleanser was amazing the first time I used it. It removes ALL of my makeup, but doesn't make my skin feel super dry or stripped. The green tea in it adds a nice tingle, and has definitely gotten rid of any redness I had before. Even though it's on the pricey side of cleansers, this stuff is so concentrated that it lasts ten times longer than any drugstore cleanser I've ever used, so it's probably the same price in the long run. It's been about two months since I started using Murad skincare, and my skin honestly looks the best it ever has. I get a random pimple every now and then, but I haven't had any breakouts in at least a month. My scarring from my previous breakouts is going away, and I finally feel like I can wear sheer foundation without being self conscious about how my skin looks. I wish I could go back in time and tell my past self to try Murad. That would have saved me hundreds of dollars and many years of trying to hide my bad skin. I recommend this to ANYONE with oily/combination skin who has had problems with acne, though it might be a bit drying for anyone with dry skin. I LOVE the results I've seen, and I hope my (really long) review convinces you to give it a try yourself! It's really worth it! October 15, 2014
It works I received free samples from Sephora the first time; then when I used them I just loved it and decided to order one. The clarifying cleanser does not let my skin completely free from acne but reduces it in about 80%. And does not irritate my skin; which has always been a problem when I use other products. The best part is that my skin looks smooth! October 13, 2014
GREAT! I got a sample of this at Sephora with my points and stuff. Loved it so much, I got the big bottle of it! I've rarely gotten any breakouts with this. BUUUUT it does NOT remove blackheads--didn't know that when I first used it, but now I realize that. But I was SOOOO pleased with this product that I want to try the blackhead clearing products, because that's what I need help with! Just make sure to moisturize after, because salacilyic acid can be drying!!! September 5, 2014

Answer:
Great question! You can use the Clarifying Cleanser once in the morning and once in the evening. Then follow with your treatment and moisturizer. Splash your face with water and then put a dime size of the cleanser in your hand and rub together to lather. Wash your face with your hands and do so for about one minute. Rinse clean and pat dry.

Answer:
I suggest no more than twice--morning and night. More than that may cause irritation and dryness.

Answer:
You MAY be having a reaction, which is most likely if you have sensitive skin. I suggest to stop using it for a couple days and use a gentle cleanser instead. If the redness goes down, it's probably a reaction. If not...well, not sure! Hope I helped, at least a little bit:)
