What makes Murad's Acne Complex® unique?

The Murad product line is designed to be very skin specific. Dr. Murad's philosophy is to provide the skin with everything it needs to regain skin health, such as exfoliating agents, antioxidants, anti-inflammatories and hydrating ingredients.

The Murad Acne Complex® is our most popular regimen. The Murad Acne Complex® features ingredients such as Triclosan for antibacterial benefits, Glycolic and Salicylic Acids to exfoliate and even out skin texture, Retinol to normalize skin cell production and Zinc Black Cohosh and Licorice Extracts to reduce redness and inflammation. Also, The Murad Acne Complex® does not contain Benzoyl Peroxide, which can cause severe dryness and irritation for some people.

What other skin concerns will Murad Acne Complex® help?

As you may know there are many chronic or temporary conditions whose symptoms resemble acne. The Murad Acne Complex® also helps treat symptoms associated with the following skin care conditions:

• Eczema
• Perioral dermatitis
• Excoria
• Razor bumps (folliculitis or pseudo folliculitis)
• Keratosis Pilaris
• Inflamed bumps

While these skincare conditions may not involve all of the factors that cause real acne, what they do have in common is inflammation, which is characterized by swelling, redness, heat and pain.

Will Murad Acne products help with my body breakouts?

At Murad we believe in internal and external skincare. To best address your body breakouts you will want to treat your skin from within (supplements) and topically (products). For acne conditions on the body, we suggest using our Acne Body Wash daily which is a triple-action body wash featuring fine-grained date seed powder, salicylic acid, and triclosan to exfoliate, deep clean pores, and prevent future breakouts.

After showering with Acne Body Wash, we recommend applying our Clarifying Body Spray to help purify and heal body breakouts and problem skin. The easy to use Clarifying Body Spray features ingredients such as Salicylic Acid and powerful antibacterial agents to penetrate pores and to fight acne breakouts all day long.

Lastly, we also recommend our Pure Skin Clarifying Supplements. The Pure Skin Clarifying Supplements‚ are great for controlling acne on the entire body. Clinical studies show a reduction in blemishes by up to 55% in just 6 weeks. I have large pores, what can I do to help make them appear smaller?

Large pores are often an inherited problem and unfortunately they tend to increase with age. Nonetheless, pores can often seem enlarged when they're blocked with oil. So working to reduce that oil blockage may result in the appearance of smaller pores. To target and help minimize the appearance of large pores you to need to make changes in your beauty habits and diet that will affect oil levels in your skin. Do I need to use a moisturizer if I have oily, acne-prone skin?

Absolutely! The most important thing to remember about moisturizing is that it is about water not grease and that even oily skin needs water. In fact, when acne-prone skin gets too dehydrated, it may often produce even more oil in response. Using an oil free moisturizer every day, like our oil-free Skin Perfecting Lotion will help hydrate and balance the skin.

Is Murad Acne Complex® safe to use for pregnant or lactating women?

While Murad undergoes all possible safety testing for the quality and efficacy of our products, we have not conducted specific testing for pregnant or lactating women. Dr. Murad's recommends that women who are pregnant or lactating consult their physician before using any Murad products.
