Job Title: Director of Education
Department: Global Marketing

General Description:
The leader in clinical skincare in both the retail and professional arenas is seeking a Director of Education, to report into the Global Marketing department.

This position will work directly with the research and development team and the marketing and brand managers in translating science terminology into education modules for the general consumer and the esthetic community. He or she will develop strong partnerships with the sales channels to understand their end consumer and provide appropriate content and substantiation to support sell-in and sell-through initiatives.

This position will generate content to support the brand in communication vehicles ranging from technical documents, including technical briefs and product knowledge profiles, through to consumer communications (in concert with the marketing teams).

The candidate will develop Murad’s educational curriculum; training the retail field educators and communicating with education peers from our major specialty retail partners as well as our professional channels through collaboration alongside Professional Education Manager and Spa Partners.

This will also be a self-motivated individual who will seek out new ways to maintain the brand’s competitive edge by maintaining excellence in education through innovative means. Examples include but are not limited to: conducting online seminars for the end consumer and creating educational programs for the esthetic community including International. He or she must have outstanding presentation and inter-personal communication skills, with demonstrated proficiencies in both a technical and consumer arena.

Primary Job Functions:

• Partner with Marketing on product position for backbar products
• Develop training materials for new product launches and ongoing product training.
•  Lead in developing product knowledge modules for retail and consumer arenas.
• Work with Public Relations to position product features and benefit stories for both trade and consumer press
• Presenting at national sales events and speaking or holding classes at key industry functions, including trade shows as needed
• Present with Marketing to major retail partners and their education teams as needed
• Strategically direct education and training activities to provide innovation and results oriented selling tools and techniques
• Develop and manage Education budget within the Marketing budget
• Fact check on product claims and consumer marketing copy
•  Play a strategic role in our content and communication strategy; help develop a “skin expert” voice for the brand
• Conduct employee education classes, monthly customer care sessions and new hire training courses; staff “askdesk”.
• Interface with the International Director of Education in the areas such as protocols, educational content, seminars, new product launches and trade shows
• Other responsibilities as required and as the position evolves
• Fluency in Spanish and/or French a real plus!

Job Title: Web Developer
Department: Information Technology
Location: El Segundo, CA

General Description:
The Web Developer must have strong all around web development skills and be proficient with different programming languages to support growing business needs. Must have extensive experience architecting, designing, and building multi-tier Java/J2EE web applications. Strong knowledge of SQL and database design/development is also required to architect technical solutions. The position will require development of Java/Oracle Web Applications including highly customized eCommerce website and other custom Web Applications. Any experience with Open Source MVC frameworks such as Spring/Grails is a plus. Experience with Web 2.0, Web Services, SOAP/REST and SOA technologies a plus.

The Web Developer works closely with IT and Web Marketing teams to maintain and enhance a custom Oracle eCommerce website along with other custom web applications and projects. This includes translating complex business needs into technical requirements and implementing solutions. Key areas of responsibilities include Analysis and Design, Development and Testing, Delivery, Installation and Production Support of Web Applications. On the IT side, this person would work with the rest of the IT team and may share some responsibility monitoring and maintaining health of web servers and troubleshooting performance issues.

Required Skills:
• 5 years of design, architecture, and implementation experience with J2EE technologies and enterprise Web Applications
• Working experience with high traffic, multi-tiered web applications using Java, JSP, XML, JMS, Object Oriented Design, Web Services, SOAP/REST, AJAX, JavaScript, and HTML technologies
• MVC development experience utilizing leading Java Web Platforms (Spring, Grails, Struts) a plus
• Strong experience with SQL, data modeling and design. Experience with Oracle Applications a plus

General Description:
The Web Developer must have good all around web development skills and be familiar with different programming languages to support the company’s business needs. Must have prior experience building dynamic web applications using Java/JSP and SQL technologies. Must have strong HTML and JavaScript skills, experience with large AJAX JavaScript Frameworks (such as jQuery, Prototype, YUI) highly preferred. The position will require development of Java/Oracle Web Applications including Oracle iStore eCommerce integration and other custom Web Applications. Any experience with open source MVC frameworks (Spring) and Web 2.0 technologies (Blogs, Wiki’s) a plus.

The Web Developer works closely with the IT and Web Marketing teams to maintain and enhance a Custom eCommerce website along with other enterprise applications. This includes translating business needs into technical requirements, implementing solutions and coordinating tasks among technical and non-technical team members. On the IT side, this person would work with the rest of the IT team and may share some responsibility monitoring and maintaining health of web servers and troubleshooting performance issues.

 Job Title: Medical Office Manager
Department: Murad Medical Group

General Description:
Has ultimate responsibility for the operational aspects of a complex dermatology Practice. Assists Physician(s) in formulating and implementing activities associated with the Practice, including but not limited to personnel management, operations, facilities management, quality assurance and special projects; actively seeks opportunities to grow the medical group’s client base; assures surgery suite continues to meet accreditation standards set by regulatory agencies, accreditation boards, and payers. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure that patient and provider needs are consistently met. Provides leadership and acts as liaison for medical practice when interfacing with corporate officers and staff.

Primary Job Functions:

• Establishes and maintains an effective operating environment that is efficient, safe and responsive to the needs of the patients, physicians and staff.
• Develops and implements performance goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems to promote the continuous improvement of the medical practice and its staff.
• Selects, trains and assures development of competent personnel. Apprises employees of, and adheres to, the policies and procedures. Ensures staffing schedules meet the needs of the practice. Reviews and approves employee time sheets/payroll cards as warranted. Generates and completes performance reviews in conjunction with the physicians.
• Maintains current working knowledge of the health care environment as it relates to physician practices and local competition. This includes: government rules and regulations; changes in reimbursement; changes in the local market; and other key factors impacting medical practices.
• Reviews, compares and contrasts month-end A/R reports to assess the billing and collection performance of the medical group as well as the individual service providers. Use practice benchmarks as measurement tools.
• Ensures the timely submission of accurate and complete information to billing personnel or service.
• Ensures a positive working relationship with physicians and other service providers.
• Coordinates the purchase of the requisite medical and office supplies, products and equipment.
• Establishes and maintains an inventory system that ensures adequate levels of office supplies are consistently available.
• Closely monitors and controls the practice’s expenditures and develops action plans to correct any negative variances.

Reviews and approves all invoices for payment.

• Establishes and maintains an equipment evaluation and maintenance program to ensure the office and medical equipment functions properly at all times.
• Monitors and analyzes patient appointment schedules to determine opportunities for improvement in patient services.
• Serves as liaison between medical practice and the Corporate Office.
• Provides oversight and implementation of regulatory clinical compliance (i.e. AAHC, CLIA, and OSHA). Ensures compliance of exposure control program and establishes and maintains records in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Maintains patient and practice confidentiality 100% of the time; consistently demonstrates complete discretion when discussing patient information.
• Health care administration practices; medical terminology; practice management computer systems and applications; government and third party reimbursement regulations and requirements; managed care contracting;
• CPT and ICD•9•CM billing and coding guidelines and applications; supplies and instruments used in a business;
• Routine clinical and laboratory methods;
• State and federal accreditation guidelines; OSHA rules and regulation

Must possess strong interpersonal, personnel and financial management skills along with the ability to think strategically.
