Lights, Camera, Action: On Set with the Cast and Crew of TNT’s Perception

Recently, our public relations team got to visit the set of TNT’s television series Perception, starring Eric McCormack (Will & Grace) and Rachel Leigh Cook (She’s All That, Psych). In addition to meeting the stars, the team also got to see all the magic (and chaos!) that goes into shooting an episode. Our Public Relations Assistant Ashley Arikawa joined in on the Tinsel Town field trip and wrote up a recap of the day for us (you could call it “Ashley’s Perception”).

“One of the first things we noticed when arriving to the set was how busy it was. Various crew members were constantly moving set pieces, cameras and lighting fixtures to different areas of the set. We had to stay alert so that we wouldn’t get in the way! Even though the set was bustling, as soon as the director shouted “Action!” it would be completely silent, besides the voices of the actors saying their lines. As soon as he yelled “Cut!” it would come back to life with everyone rushing to wherever they needed to be. We even got to sit right behind the director and producers and watch what was being filmed in the other room on TV screens, listening in with our own headsets.

We had the opportunity to meet many of the cast and crewmembers that were working that day, including stars Erik McCormack, Rachael Leigh Cook, Scott Wolf and Executive Producer Kenneth Biller. We also met up with one of our favorite makeup artist friends, Kathleen Crawford, who is a big fan of Murad’s Rapid Collagen Infusion and regularly uses it on set. She told us, “This stuff is a miracle in a bottle! It makes such a huge difference in the firmness of the skin. It makes me happy!”

Everyone that we met was so friendly and welcoming. You could tell that the cast and crew had become like family to each other over the course of filming the past three seasons. Thank you so much to the cast and crew of Perception for letting us visit. We had a blast!”
