AHA/BHA EXFOLIATING CLEANSER

Director of Education Sharon Boes shares the benefits of AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser and how it should fit into your skin care regimen.

The Benefits

Smooths texture while cleansing impurities with a trio of gentle exfoliating acids. Salicylic, Lactic and Glycolic Acids provide clarity, brightness and improve cell-turnover by dissolving dead skin cell buildup. Jojoba beads further polish and smooth skin.

How to Use

Massage a small amount over dampened face and neck. Rinse with warm water and pat dry. For optimal results, use 2 to 3 times weekly. Follow with recommended Murad toner and treatment.

Glycolic Acid

Sugar cane is the surprising source of the Glycolic Acid used in Dr. Murad’s formulas. Glycolic is a member of a class of naturally occurring substances called Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) that have been used to refresh complexions since Cleopatra took her first milk bath. AHA’s exfoliate by loosening the bonds that bind dulling dead cells to skin’s surface. Dr. Murad discovered that Glycolic acid is uniquely well suited to skincare because it gently and evenly exfoliates to smooth skin while stimulating natural renewal of the surface. Dr. Murad also discovered that adding Glycolic Acid to many of his formulas makes it easier for other key skincare ingredients to penetrate deep into the skin’s surface layers.

Want To Look 10 Years Younger? I've been using this cleanser since I began using Murad products several years ago. The tube lasts about six months and I use it every day. EVERYONE says I look at least ten years younger than my 50 years. I don't have any wrinkles and my skin glows like it did when I was in my 20's. Today, a new lady came from my cleaning service - I'd never met her. She asked what my nationality was, and then she started dropping hints to learn my age. When I told her, she just couldn't believe it. She said my complexion is "gorgeous" and that she would have guessed my age at 35 (even though she saw in our family photos that my children are in their late 20's). When she asked what skin care products I use, I gladly told her about this cleanser and the other Murad products I use. Who wouldn't want to be the woman who knows THIS beauty secret? March 30, 2010
Gentle And Effective! I've used many exfoliating cleansers and products in the past and discovered that, while they did exfoliate my skin, they also caused skin irritation. The Murad Exfoliating Cleanser is great - does the job effectively and no irritation whatsoever! No more apricot scrubs for me! This product is another must have in my arsonel of necessary products! Dull Skin Reviver 34 yr old mom of 4 and I was looking tired and dull skin tone. With in a week, my skin was bright and refreshed. Amazing!! March 9, 2015
Best cleanser ever! Recommended by a Murad esthetician because my skin was dry and flat and had bumps and blackheads. I use it at night and it feels SOOOO good after taking my makeup off after a long day. It really gets in there... maybe not great for really sensitive skin. But my face is absolutely GLOWING after. The next morning, it's even better. Following with your Murad night regime for best results. Got my girlfriends hooked on it too! December 24, 2014

Answer:
The AHA BHA Exfoliating Cleanser is not going to clog your pores. The cleanser not only has the jojoba beads to exfoliate but also salicylic, lactic and glycolic acids to provide clarity, brightness and improve cell-turnover by dissolving dead skin cell buildup.

Yes! The AHA BHA Exfoliating Cleanser will help to remove the debris on the surface of the skin as well as help to alleviate blackheads and whiteheads. Used 2 or 3 times per week it can really help to keep skin clear.

Answer:
Exfoliation can indeed help reduce the appearance of pores. We do recommend the AHA BHA Exfoliating Cleanser be used 2 or 3 times per week in place of your regular cleanser. Also, toners can help as well as using the moisturizer appropriate for your skin can manage on a daily basis as well.
