Job Title: Vice President, International Marketing
Job Location: El Segundo, CA
Duties: Oversee international sales, marketing and business development of skincare products in key international territories and markets; develop, execute and manage marketing efforts in Europe, Asia, and Australia; conduct market feasibility studies to assess new market potential, and develop proposals for new market penetration initiatives; develop, manage and expend beauty retail brand store concepts in multinational markets; plan and direct all activities, policies, sales, education and marketing developments of distribution units; review annual marketing plan of International Department; supervise professional employees, including two Directors, a Manager, and an Analyst; develop new market initiatives, assess new markets, and analyze business opportunities of distribution; conduct financial feasibility studies and develop proposals for new distribution; negotiate contracts, initiate proposals and close deals; monitor the performance of International Sales and Marketing results using sales reports and research data; apprise management of significant changes and alter sales and marketing expenditures; keep abreast of the competitive global environment and provide business forecasts to allow for inventory management; develop alternative and contingency plans, overall strategy for international marketing; review consumer promotions and trade programs with direct reports designed to gain volume and profits; maintain ongoing communication with direct reports, distributors and corporate marketing to learn about changing market conditions and modify promotion programs to support market changes; adjust sales and marketing programs to meet the needs of the market place; ensure that the International Department collaborates with the Corporate Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing and Finance Departments to identify and produce potential line extensions that can add incremental dollar and volume to international sales; develop sales and marketing plans for management approval; monitor, evaluate and recommend pricing, basis of price changes domestically and internationally due to political, economic, and social circumstances. This position requires international travel approximately 25% of work hours.
Requirements: Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field and ten (10) years of experience developing, executing and managing marketing efforts in Europe, Asia, and Australia; conducting market potential feasibility studies and developing proposals for new market penetration initiatives; with two (2) years herein to include developing, managing and expending beauty retail brand store concepts in multinational markets. This position requires international travel approximately 25% of work hours.
