Howard Murad, M.D., FAAD—CEO and Founder
Murad founder, Howard Murad, M.D. defines vision and direction for all Murad enterprises; provides direct oversight to the Murad Inclusive Health® Spa, Murad Medical Group and Murad Research Laboratories and travels the world speaking both as a brand ambassador and skin-health educator.
A board-certified dermatologist, pharmacist and Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine (Dermatology) at UCLA, Dr. Murad, is widely acknowledged as one of the world's foremost authorities on skin health. A true visionary, Dr. Murad has changed the fields of skincare and dermatology. His pioneering efforts include creation of the first line of doctor branded skincare, the development of the first Esthetic AHA formulations, the first medical spa and the first Inclusive Health Center®. He continues to create cutting edge formulations for topical and Internal Skincare®, including countless discoveries that have translated ethnobotanical resources into important advances in health and wellness.
Dr. Murad introduced his breakthrough discoveries in the Science of Cellular Water™ in his first book The Murad Method and received wide acclaim for his second book, Wrinkle-Free Forever. Dr. Murad shared more of the fruits of his research in The Cellulite Solution and is currently working on a fourth book.
Dr. Murad continues to actively see patients and has treated more than 50,000 patients over the course of his career.
Richard S. Murad- General Manager
In his dual capacities as General Manager and General Counsel, Richard has overall responsibility for managing Murad's marketing and sales functions as well as the day-to-day operations of the business. He is also responsible for leading the strategic planning functions of the company, customer service, new business development and all legal affairs.
Richard joined Murad, Inc. in 1996 as General Counsel and in 1999 he became responsible for directing the operations team. In 2003 he formally became Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel and thereafter was promoted to General Manager.
Prior to joining Murad, Richard was a partner in a law firm in New York City. His specialty at the firm was civil litigation.
Richard holds an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA; a Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law; and a Bachelor of Arts from New York University.
Hilarie Murad—General Manager, Murad UK
As General Manager of Murad UK, Hilarie has ownership of the Murad UK partnership.
The UK partnership is vital to the global success of Murad, Inc. and is one of only two joint ventures owned by the Murad family. In this position, Hilarie oversees four main distribution channels, including Professional (salons and spas), Direct (online), National (retail accounts including Harrod’s), and Retail (Boots locations). Hilarie is also responsible for Murad’s Social Networking activities. Social Networking is a vital component of Murad’s global brand awareness initiatives. Hilarie previously served as President of the Murad Inclusive Health Spa and originally joined Murad, Inc. in 1996 as a customer service representative. She assumed her role as General Manager of Murad's Global Marketing Department in 2003. In that position, Hilarie was responsible for companywide marketing initiatives in all channels of distribution. She was instrumental in the restructuring of several key functions and departments including product development and packaging. Under Hilarie's leadership, Murad enjoyed many successful and significant brand building initiatives including the award-winning complete repackage of Murad products. Hilarie was also responsible for the launch of several key products, several of which are now in Murad's top 10.
Hilarie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Politics from Clark University in Massachusetts and a Certificate in Fashion Design from FIDM.
Jeff Murad—Vice President, Product DevelopmentAs Vice President of Product Development, Jeff is responsible for product formulation, testing, regulatory compliance and packaging compatibility.
To ensure that product development is linked to demand, Jeff also works closely with Murad's Customer Care Division. Jeff is active in furthering Murad's international growth and was instrumental in developing the business relationships that formed the foundation of Murad Japan.
Jeff holds an MBA from University of Southern California, with a special focus on strategy and marketing. He completed his undergraduate studies at New York University. He is currently on the ICMAD Board of Directors which is a group of the most experienced cosmetic company owners and executives in the industry. A major achievement for Jeff was the launch of Murad Man brand which he co-created with his father, Dr. Murad.
A classically trained composer and avid writer, Jeff assisted Dr. Murad with his second book, The Cellulite Solution.
Linda Murad—Director, Event Planning
Linda joined Murad, Inc. in 2007 as Event Planning Director. Prior to joining Murad, Linda worked for The American Ballet Theater in development; at GREY Advertising as a media planner; at Vanity Fair Magazine in marketing, and for Silver Palate as manager of the New York flagship store, selling Silver Palate products to national retail and planning and organizing large parties and corporate events.
Linda attended the State University of New York at Albany where she received her degree magna cum laude. She is an avid tennis player and was a nationally ranked amateur for five years.
