Richard S. Murad—General Manager
Richard Murad, General Manager for Murad, Inc., is responsible for directing overall company strategic planning, as well as overseeing the operations, marketing and sales functions for the Murad business. During Richard’s tenure, he has led the charge on Murad’s penetration of international markets, growing that landscape by over 100%, guided the company in 15 years of consecutive sales growth while reducing spend, and has set the foundation for future company expansion. Additionally, Richard leads all new business development outreach, and serves as Treasurer of the newly formed Murad Family Foundation which was created to advance the health of Southern California’s children by expanding access to fitness, nutrition and education.
Joining Murad, Inc. in 1996 as General Counsel, Richard was appointed Vice President of Legal Affairs and Vice President of Operations in 1999. In 2003 he was formally named Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel, and thereafter was promoted to General Manager. Prior to joining Murad, Richard was a partner in Tannenbaum Helpern law firm in New York City, specializing in civil litigation. Richard holds an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA, a Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from New York University.
Richard currently resides in Manhattan Beach, Calif. with his wife and three children where he also founded Beach City Baseball Academy, a state-of-the-art baseball training facility, open to the public.
Murad Family Foundation
As President of the Murad Family Foundation, Hilarie oversees all aspects of the organization, and ensures that all funding aligns with the Foundation's mission to advance the health of Southern California's children by expanding access to fitness and nutrition education. Founded in 2011 by the Murad family, the Foundation is an extension of Dr. Murad's ongoing philanthropic efforts, which include volunteering countless hours with at-risk children and veterans in the local community and producing The Art of Giving, an annual charity art show where proceeds from each painting go to the charity of the buyer's choice.
Prior to overseeing the Murad Family Foundation, Hilarie served as General Manager of Murad UK, where she managed the direct-to-consumer
business. Additionally, Hilarie acted as President of the Murad Inclusive Health Spa® and, prior to that, General Manager of Global Marketing, where she was responsible for companywide marketing initiatives and successfully restructured several key departments including product development and packaging. Hilarie originally joined Murad, Inc. in 1996 as a customer service representative.
Hilarie holds a Bachelor of Arts in comparative politics from Clark University in Massachusetts and a Certificate in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, California.

Jeff Murad—Vice President,
New Product Development
As Vice President of Product Development, Jeff is responsible for product formulation, testing, regulatory compliance and packaging compatibility. To ensure that product development is linked to demand, Jeff works closely with Murad’s Customer Care division. Jeff is active in furthering Murad’s international growth and was instrumental in developing the business relationships that formed the foundation for Murad Japan.
Jeff is on the board of directors for Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers & Distributors (ICMAD), a group of some of the most experienced executives in the cosmetics industry. He holds an MBA from University of Southern California with a special focus on strategy and marketing, and completed his undergraduate studies at New York University.
A classically trained composer and avid writer, Jeff also assisted Dr. Murad with his third book, The Cellulite Solution.
Linda Murad—Director, Event Planning
Linda joined Murad, Inc. in 2007 as Event Planning Director. Previously Linda worked for American Ballet Theatre in development, Grey Advertising as a media planner, Vanity Fair magazine in marketing, and The Silver Palate as manager of the New York flagship store, selling the company's signature products to
national retailers and organizing large parties and corporate events.
Linda attended the State University of New York at Albany, where she graduated magna cum laude. She is an avid tennis player and was a nationally ranked amateur for five years.
Fred Gysi—Chief Financial Officer
Fred Gysi is Chief Financial Officer for Murad, Inc., overseeing the Finance and Accounting departments at Murad. In his role, Gysi directs financial reporting, budgeting, treasury & cash flow management, financial and marketing analysis and strategic planning.
Prior to joining Murad, Gysi had over 25 years of experience in finance and accounting, including serving as the Chief Financial Officer for Canon Communications, a trade show and B2B publishing company. Prior to this, Gysi was CFO at THQ, Inc. during a five year period in which the company
achieved 45% annual revenue growth and 85% annual profit growth, while increasing market capitalization from $100 million to $1.5 billion. Other experience includes stints with Deloitte & Touche as partner and Chief Financial Officer of Creativity, Inc., an arts and crafts distributor.
Gysi graduated from Colorado College with a degree in Business Administration and received his MBA in Finance/Marketing from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a CPA (inactive status) in California. He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA .
Suzanne Dawson—Chief Marketing Officer
Suzanne Dawson is Chief Marketing Officer for Murad, Inc., overseeing all global marketing including brand development, public relations, creative, and education, for products, services, and new market opportunities. In her role, Dawson is responsible for driving brand growth and equity through global initiatives, identifying new market opportunities, driving product development, increasing consumer engagement and brand profitability and developing an overall growth strategy for the company.
Dawson came to Murad with more than 25 years experience in the beauty and cosmetic industries and, having worked on 3 continents, brings a global perspective to the company. In 2001, Dawson moved to the United States and joined Aveda Corporation as Executive Director, Global Spa Development.
She was subsequently promoted to Vice President, Global Marketing in 2005, where she substantially grew market share, sales and profit and was responsible for bringing to market some of Aveda’s most successful products, which represented 29% of global sales. In 2010, she also led Global Innovation for Aveda/Estee Lauder Group’s hair care and natural, organic & green categories. In addition to her corporate experience, Dawson is an entrepreneur who, since her 20’s, has owned several highly successful businesses & beauty brands.
Born in India and a native of Australia, Dawson holds a Bachelor of Business in Marketing from Monash University in Australia. She currently resides in Hermosa Beach, CA.
Pamela de Ryss—Executive Vice
A driving force behind Murad’s remarkable growth, Executive Vice President of Sales, Pamela de Ryss is responsible for the formulation and implementation of corporate strategies, exploring and capturing business opportunities in North America and refining the sales organization’s structure to maximize productivity for profitable growth.
Pamela began her career at Murad in 2002 as a Regional Sales Director for National Accounts and Spas and was promoted to Vice President of Sales for National Accounts in 2005. With her elevation to
Executive Vice President in 2008, her duties were expanded to include the professional channel, which has been reorganized and revitalized under her stewardship.
Pamela’s extensive beauty industry background includes management positions at Christian Dior Giorgio, Beverly Hills, and P&G Prestige Fragrances were she held the title of National Retail Sales Manager before moving to Murad in 2002.
Pamela received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Washington.
Marina Randolph—Executive Vice
As Executive Vice President of Direct, Marina spearheads the growth of our Direct Response TV business through highly branded communications vehicles, strategically crafted to generate awareness and drive retail sell-through, while also generating a positive ROI via targeted and relevant acquisition and retention programs. Additionally, Marina has been tasked with strengthening and maximizing existing customer relationships through the Infomercial, Online, Catalog and Direct Mail channels.
Prior to joining Murad, Marina was the Vice
President at Beachbody, LLC and Guthy-Renker Corp. She led the successful launch of several brands, heading the marketing, creative, business development, strategic planning, and profits and losses management for skincare lines, including Proactiv Solution, Principal Secret, Timeless Secret and Derm Exclusive.
Marina graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a minor in Japanese. She is a member of various professional organizations, including Cosmetic Executive Women and Beauty Industry West.
Marios Stamatelopoulos—Vice President,
As Vice President of International, Marios oversees all aspects of international sales, marketing and business development activities in other countries. Marios is responsible for developing new market initiatives, assessing new markets, and analyzing business opportunities of distribution.
Prior to joining Murad, Marios was the Commercial Director at Korres Natural Products and the
International Sales Marketing Manager for Europe, Asia Pacific and M East at Kitchenaid Appliances.
A native of Greece, Marios received his undergraduate degree at the University of Piraeus and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
George Stork – Vice President, Information Technology
George Stork is Vice President of Information Technology for Murad, Inc., overseeing all aspects of IT including Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications, Retail Systems and IT Project Management. In his role, Stork is responsible for leading the IT department to support the company’s growth initiatives and foster collaboration between IT and business units to ensure that technology is aligned to provide the necessary tools for the organization to operate efficiently. He is also responsible for developing and supporting solutions to enable Murad to penetrate new markets and channels and to differentiate its products among leading brands.
Stork came to Murad with more than 20 years of experience in Information Technology. Prior to Murad, Stork was Vice President of Information
Technology at Beachbody, LLC, a fitness and beauty ecommerce, direct response and network marketing (MLM) business. While at Beachbody, LLC, Stork was a direct contributor to the expansion of the company by 10x over 6 years. In addition to his work at Beachbody, LLC, Stork honed his IT skills at Underwater Kinetics, as well as ASI Aerospace Group, Inc.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Stork graduated from University of Southern California with a degree in Geography. He also holds several technical certifications including, Oracle E-Business Suite System Administration, Linux System Administration, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
Margarett Gaal, SPHR – Senior Director, Human Resources
In her role as Senior Director, Human Resources for Murad, Inc., Margarett Gaal is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the human resource function for Murad’s nearly 380 employees.
With over 20 years of experience in human resources, Gaal has worked for companies in the beauty, high tech, engineering and consultative service industries. Prior to joining Murad, Gaal was Senior Human Resources Manager at Intersperse Inc., a business monitoring Software Company, where she was responsible for building the human resources infrastructure from the ground up and hiring IT personnel. Her experience also includes a term as Senior Human Resources Generalist for
Experian, Inc., a nationally known credit reporting company, where she supported over 4,000 employees in 13 western states.
Gaal holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and is a nationally certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). She also holds certifications as a Human Capital Strategist (HCS) and Strategic Workforce Planner (SWP) through the Human Capital Institute. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA) Chapter 6.
