Directors

Brandon Adams—Global Director, Murad Inclusive Health Center®
As Global Director of MIHC, Brandon is responsible for the overall development, growth and industry positioning of MIHC as the next generation of wellness and healthy aging, powered by Dr. Murad's philosophy of The Cellular Water Principle®.

Prior to joining Murad, Brandon worked with Life Time Fitness, creating the LifeSpa brand while managing all day-to-day financial, marketing and service operations across 70 locations nationally.

Over his 18-year career, Brandon has had the opportunity to work and consult on several diverse spa, fitness and destination resort projects including; Williams Island Spa, Park Place Entertainment, Caesar's Gaming, Boca Developers and Oceania Properties.

Brandon attended New Mexico State University and University of St. Thomas Opus School of Business. He is a former master swimming competitor and has competed in 16 USAT sanctioned triathlon events.


Eric Arroyo—Director, Media and Direct Operations
As Director, Eric is responsible for managing all of Murad’s Direct Response Television (DRTV) and radio placement including overseeing media buying agencies and ensuring optimal campaign success. In addition, Eric oversees all telemarketing call centers and backend operations for the highly successful infomercials and other DR campaigns. He works closely with the Direct to Consumer team and outside agencies.

Before coming to Murad, Eric worked at agencies including Williams Worldwide, Century Direct, Icon Media and Quigley Simpson, where he partnered with Murad on the Murad Acne Complex campaign.

Eric graduated from California State University, Northridge with a double major in Marketing and Finance. He is currently a member of the Direct Marketing Association and the Electronic Retailing Association.


Camy Brullo—Director, Murad Distribution Center
As Director of the Murad Distribution Center, Camy is responsible for inventory and order fulfillment for all distribution channels. Camy supervises 49 full-time employees working in 6 different departments.

Camy has 30 years experience in distribution centers in Denver, Colorado and in Los Angeles. Immediately prior to joining Murad, Camy was a Distribution Center Manager for a janitorial supply master distributor that had 26 facilities in the United States and was promoted to Regional Manager overseeing 5 facilities on the West Coast.

Camy is involved with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.


Cliff Crumley—Executive Creative Director
As Executive Creative Director, Cliff is responsible for collaborating with Global Marketing to develop brand communications strategies and to supervise the implementation of those strategies in packaging, advertising and collateral.

Prior to joining Murad, Cliff had an extensive career in the advertising industry. Cliff began his training in New York where he worked as an Art Director for D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles and Sacks and Rosen. Returning to Los Angeles, Cliff worked for Eisaman Johns & Law, The Sachs Group, and most recently for ICEbox Advertising where he was Executive Creative Director. His wide ranging experience includes cosmetic brands Murad, Strivectin and Neutrogena; toy brands Mattel, Bandai, Playmates, Ertl and TOMY; and package good brands Charmin, Crystal Light, Scope and Pampers.

Cliff has taught advertising design at Art Center College of Design Pasadena where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts/Advertising Design.


Rose Fernandez—Senior National Sales Director, US and Canada
As National Accounts Director, Rose oversees accounts with national reach, such as Sephora and Ulta. Rose partners with these major accounts to develop solid strategic plans that translate into profitable channel and account specific programs. Rose joined Murad in 1999 as a Salon Account Executive and her various roles at Murad have included Regional Sales Director, where she oversaw both the retail and salon businesses, and Director of Channel Marketing where she developed sales and marketing strategies for both the salon and retail channels.

Prior to coming to Murad, Rose's industry experience included work for Prescriptives and Shiseido. Rose holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from the University of Phoenix.


Jennifer Fredette—Director, Education
As Director of Education, Jennifer will develop and implement educational initiatives that embody the Murad brand’s global marketing message. Jennifer will also be responsible for overseeing product education and training for Murad’s National Division.

Jennifer comes to Murad from European retail brand LIERAC, where she headed US training for beauty advisors in pharmacies such as CVS, Longs, Duane Reade and Rite Aide. During a term of service at Repêchage, Jennifer developed esthetic curriculums, train-the-trainer programs, facilitated skincare conferences and trained spa professionals on signature treatments for resorts and spas.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Business and French from Adrian College. She completed her licensing program in Esthetics at Christine Valmy School of Esthetics, New York.


Margarett Gaal—Director of Human Resources
As Director of Human Resources, Margarett is responsible for personnel and benefits issues for Murad's nearly 300 employees.

With over 20 years of experience in Human Resources, Margarett has worked for companies in the beauty, high tech, engineering and consultative service industries. Prior to joining Murad, Margarett was Senior Human Resources Manager at Intersperse Inc., a business monitoring software company, where she was responsible for building the Human Resources infrastructure from the ground up and hiring IT personnel. Her experience also includes a term as Senior Human Resources Generalist for Experian, Inc. a nationally known credit reporting company where she supported over 4,000 employees in 13 western states.

Margarett holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and is a nationally certified Senior Human Resources Professional (SPHR). She is also a member of SHRM and PIHRA Chapter 6.


Laura Hernandez—Director, Customer Care
As Director of Customer Care, Laura is responsible for Murad's internal Customer Care Department of 35 employees as well as its off-site call centers. Laura works with all of Murad's departments to facilitate sales and build customer loyalty by ensuring that each customer has a positive experience.

When she joined Murad in January 2007, Laura brought over 18 years of experience in customer care, sales and account management to the company. She has worked in the healthcare, advertising and entertainment industries, where she implemented and developed innovative initiatives to enhance customer communication, including personalized call center protocols, quality assurance programs and customer retention programs.

Laura is involved with several community outreach programs, including those that feed the homeless and provide young people with positive opportunities for growth. In addition, Laura and her husband run a residential rehabilitation program to help men overcome addiction.


Charles Jones—Senior Director, Supply Chain
Charles is responsible for Supply Chain management which consists of the design, planning, execution, control and monitoring of inventory processes with the objective of competitive infrastructure and synchronizing supply with demand.

Charles has over 15 years experience managing supply chains in fast paced retail environments. During his career, he has worked for companies such as Home Depot, Henkel, Schwarzkopf, Ashworth and Arbonne. His successes include implementing both SAP and Oracle advanced supply chain planning modules; designing, planning and managing a pick-by-light distribution center; strategically building a solid supply chain infrastructure to consistently maintain 99% customer service fill-rate while reducing inventories by more than 40% reaching inventory turns in excess of 6.

Charles has spent most of his adulthood in San Diego where he attended San Diego State University and majored in Mechanical Engineering, where he received two first place science awards for his model approach to theories related to thermodynamics and the 21st century.


Ariya Kittichaikarn—Director, Sales for Asian-Pacific Markets
As Sales Director for Asian-Pacific Markets, Ariya is in charge of leading the Asian Market to new heights by growing and maximizing sales with existing businesses and new distributors, including a focus on expanding Murad’s presence in Thailand, Taiwan, and the People’s Republic of China, Vietnam and Japan.

Ariya brings extensive marketing, sales and operations experience to Murad. He previously worked with L’Oreal in the Luxury Product Division for Lancome, BioTherm, Ralph Lauren and Armani.

Ariya attended Assumption University in Bangkok for his Bachelor of Business Administration and completed his Masters of Business Administration at Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration Chulalongkorn University.


Andrea Koons—Senior Director, Global Marketing
As Senior Director of Global Marketing, Andrea is responsible for overseeing new product launches and promotional activities, both domestically and internationally. Andrea has been an integral part of the Murad Marketing Department since 2001, when she started as a Brand Manager.

Andrea's 15-year career in health and beauty marketing began with international fashion designers at Parlux Fragrances, where she played a key role in the launch of numerous prestige fragrances. Building upon the fragrance experience, Andrea worked with the direct marketing firm Mary Kay in product development and marketing of aromatherapy, sun, body, skincare and color.

Andrea holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Miami. Outside the office, she embraces Murad's Inclusive Health philosophy exploring her passions of yoga and cupcake baking.


Els Mitchum—Senior Director, Sales Administration
As Director of Sales Administration, Els oversees all operational activities and programs for Murad sales channels. In this capacity, she is responsible for the implementation of order management and reporting systems. In addition, she develops and monitors all sales operating budgets in cooperation with the sales management team, finance personnel and executives. She provides analytical materials and recommendations to allow management to make sound decisions for channel distribution, marketing programs, staffing needs, and internal operations and processes.

Els joined Murad in 1998 as Director, Customer Service were she oversaw the staff management and operational needs of the Murad Customer Care Department. Prior to joining Murad, she worked in the same capacity at Chantal Skin Care. She has over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry and is a published author on the international skincare industry.

Els is a native of Belgium where she received her undergraduate degree in Business/ Economics from the University of Antwerp. She received her Master's Degree in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge. Els is fluent in English, French and Dutch.


Magy Nakkashian—Senior Director, Direct to Consumer
As Senior Director in Murad's Direct to Consumer Division, Magy is responsible for the strategy, planning and implementation of methodologies and technology to acquire new customers and deepen existing customer relationships. She is also responsible for marketing and sales of all Murad products direct to the consumer, including infomercial, catalog and alternative direct print.

Magy joined Murad in 1999 in the Customer Care Department. Prior to joining Murad, Magy worked in the staffing industry.

Magy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from California State University, Long Beach.


Lisa Nielsen, CPA—Controller
As Controller, Lisa manages the Finance and Accounting Departments under the direction of the EVP of Finance. She joined Murad in September 2007 with over 10 years of experience in Accounting and Finance. While working as an auditor for Deloitte in Salt Lake City, Lisa gained experience in several industries, including financial services, retail, manufacturing, and not-for profit. Subsequent to her public accounting experience, Lisa worked as the European Regional Controller for Tahitian Noni International and as a Divisional Controller for FranklinCovey. Lisa has a Master of Accountancy degree from Brigham Young University and is a Certified Public Accountant.


Matthew Schwartz—National Sales Director – Professional Division
As Director of Sales, Eastern Region with Murad, Matthew manages the day to day business of the Professional Division, east of the Mississippi. He runs the Sales and Educational Teams.
Matthew's career at Murad began in 2003 as Regional Sales Manager, Eastern Region.

Matthew has over 11 years experience in the Skincare Industry, including work as the Vice President of Sales for DDF Skincare, where he ran both the Professional and Retail divisions.


Robert Silton—Director, Marketing of Murad Inclusive Health® Spa and University for Inclusive Health
As Director of Marketing for the Murad Inclusive Health Spa, Robert is involved with positioning and executing the marketing programs for an innovative concept in professional spas. Additionally, he leads the marketing direction for the University for Inclusive Health, a new endeavor in post-graduate education that brings spa and health care professionals together under the umbrella of Inclusive Health.

Robert's 30 years of experience in cosmetics marketing includes Avon, Coty and Dep Corporation as well as heading up Marketing at Dermalogica for over 9 years in professional skincare. He joined Murad in 2005.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising/Graphic Design from Syracuse University and a Master's in Business Administration from Fordham University.


Christopher Soto—Director, Information Technology
As Director of Information Technology at Murad, Chris is responsible for maintaining the technological infrastructure and helping the company achieve its goals through leading edge software and hardware solutions. Murad technology includes enterprise solutions from leading vendors such as Oracle, EMC, Cisco, Foundry Networks, HP and Microsoft.

Chris joined Murad in 1999 as an Oracle Applications Developer. Since then, he became a Database Administrator and further, managed the Oracle environment. With a background in systems administration, network administration, programming, web services and database marketing, he has been able to create solutions to help the Murad business grow.

Chris has a Bachelor of Science in Management Science and a minor in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego.


Lynn Williford—Senior Field Operations Director, US and Canada
As Field Sales Director, National, Lynn manages the implementation of strategic plans for retail partners Sephora, Ulta and Bath & Body Works.

Lynn joined Murad in 2003 as the Regional Sales Manager for the East Coast and in 2007 Lynn was appointed to Murad Field Sales Director, National.

Lynn's passion for field sales management and team development is reflected throughout her entire career. Lynn's early experience includes 12 years with Giorgio Beverly Hills/Proctor & Gamble where she was an Account Executive and Regional Manager and 3 years with Frederick's of Hollywood where she was Regional Manager, East.

Lynn holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from East Carolina University.
